    Hi,

I installed WooCommerce to integrate with stripe, but when I activated it, I couldn’t open my site anymore. I got the below error messages, so I had to temporarily deactivate the stripe gateway and woocommerce plugins. Currently my php version is 5.6. Can you please let me know what happened?

WooCommerce – when I activated this plugin, I got the 500: Internal Error- this website is unavailable at the moment.
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway – When this plugin was activated, I got this error message
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home3/ad/public_html/owenmccall.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/includes/class-wc-stripe-webhook-handler.php on line 101

Please let me know how to fix this.

    Thanks,
    Rose

    Hi @sarsii4u

This error has been mentioned a few times in the forum recently.

    Can you confirm the following:

    * Your PHP version as reported on the WooCommerce System Status Report is 5.6
    * In FTP the WooCommerce folder is named woocommerce and Stripe is woocommerce-gateway-stripe with no additional characters
    * The WooCommerce plugin is active and up to date
    * Stripe is version 4.1.2

    Thanks,

    Hi @sarsii4u

I think we need to dig into this a bit more.

First step – can you go through some conflict testing to ensure nothing else is causing havoc here, please?

You can read more about plugin and theme conflicts in the documentation here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/

Then, if the results are the same – can you open a ticket via WooCommerce.com – Tickets?
If you’re unable to select Stripe from the WooCommerce Extensions submenu, please purchase the extension for free at https://www.woocommerce.com/products/stripe/

    Thanks!
