Help Please – Website dose only display the text

  • I am setting up a blog on my local computer. I run Vista operating system and Vertrigo Server with Apache + MySQL. I have put the WP files in its own folder in the root map for the web. When I access my blog localy through 127.0.0.1/blog, everything is fine, but when I log in from the “outside” to my website/blog the browser displays the blog with text only without any formating at all. Any idea what the problem might be?

  • dont use 127.0.0.1/blog for your blog URL

    127.0.0.1 is localhost.

    Thanks for helping out whooami. I changed the URL to “127.0.0.1” in wordpress settings for “wordpress address URL” and now I can’t get back in. That is ok because it is a test blog only but it did not solve the problem though. I have tired earlier to move all the wordpress files from the sub directory /blog to the root directly. That did not help either. What do you think?

    I changed the URL to my websites URL and it all worked. The draw back is that I can’t update my blog from my local machine since that is where the blog is, and I can’t access it through my external IP.
