• Heya,

I’ve updated all the necessary settings in the wp-config.php file and uploaded the entire wordpress folder to a site.

When I try to access /wp-admin/install.php I get the following message:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: ” (ASCII=15) state=1 in /usr/bin/php4-cgi on line 3033

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘*’ in /usr/bin/php4-cgi on line 3033

    Any ideas?

Ah hah.. i realized that MAC OS doesnt show .whatever files, so .htaccess wasnt uploaded along with everything else.

So i made my own .htaccess file (which i named as such server side) and included DirectoryIndex index.php index.html in the file.

    Now I get this error:

    Server error!

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
