How GDPR ready is Security, Antivirus, Firewall – S.A.F.?
-
Hi guys,
I’d hope to know how ready for GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation) the Security, Antivirus, Firewall – S.A.F. Plugin is and what is planned.
I’m especially concerned with the following questions:
(1) does it phone home or access any other servers than the one it is installed on?
(2) Following this blog post and my personal feeling, IP addresses are considered personal data.
(2a) Currently, the brute force monitor and the firewall save IP addresses without any anonymization, like google does by removing the last octed. Is there a plan to enable anonymization? Will I have to add an opt-in for my data privacy statement to my wp-login? Or did my brain do something seriously wrong here?
(2b) If I disable Firewall and Bruteforce Monitor (i.e. just using antivirus ?? ) will there still be some IP addresses or other personal information be saved by Security S.A.F.?Thanks and greetings
Stefan
