• I’m trying to implement WordPress functionality into a website design for a comedy club.

You can view an image of the structure I’m working with.

The homepage, and all other pages, will have 3 containers featuring upcoming acts (this week, next week, two weeks away). Each comedian’s image and name will link to their bio.

    Some goals for the layout:

    1. User-updatable upcoming acts
    2. User-updatable bios

I was going to make pages for each biography: bio1, bio2, bio3. However, each week they’d need to move bio2 content to bio1 and bio3 content to bio2. That’d be a pain, I think.

I have no clue how to feature those 3 acts on the homepage. Each container needs to have the comedian’s name, image, dates of appearance, and the ticket price. (Information that won’t be appearing in the post)

I’d really like to have a back-end archive for comedians because comedians often return to perform.

I hope I’ve made sense. I can offer additional information if my post was unclear.

  • Why don’t you just set up the comedian bios as posts? As a new/more recent one is added, it’ll come up front. When one returns to do a new show, just change the “posted on” date to current, and it’ll re-appear.
