• Hi. I changed my permalinks from 2009/03/sample-post.html to 2009/03/sample-post/ and my old postings with .html are giving not found errors.

Doesn’t WP automatically detect the change for the old postings and takes the user to the new URL? If so, how can I fix the error? Reposting all of the posts? Changing the permalink manually?

Thanks but I think the problem is more serious than I thought; I changed these not long ago: WordPress address (URL) & Blog address (URL) by removing the directory where WP is installed and when I decided to change it back to the way it was, google had already indexed the pages with the new URL (without the WP directory).

And so now that I changed it back, I have hundreds of URLs in google that are “dead” because of the change….

this plugin is great but its not capable of chaging the old structure to the new one… the old urls still give me an error message…
