• I’ve just installed my first WordPress blog on my website. However, from the start, I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of what I’ll call “white noise” where images aren’t showing up properly. Does anyone recognize this problem? Screenshot. I’m guessing maybe because I uploaded FTP as ASCII instead of the “Automatic” option in FireFTP. I’d rather not have to reinstall everything, but I will if that’s the easy fix.

Probably related, when I try to activate AddThis plugin:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/1/d94604327/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/addthis/addthis_social_widget.php on line 35

    Thanks,
    J. J.

UPDATE: I’ve reinstalled wordpress and my first “white noise” issue is resolved. However, I’m still getting the same error for AddThis.
