youtube video only in preview

I have disabled all the plugins to check if there are any incompatibilities … it does not work anyway (clean the cache).
So I assume this plugin with the theme SidneyPro and wp 4.9.5 is not compatible …

Other users have had problems in the past with a plugin called fitvid.js, which some themes include by default. I’m going to link you an old topic where you can find what it could be (I’m not sure about it, just guessing).

Are you able to verify it? Can you check if you have Javascript errors? (To do that visit your website and press f12 on your keyboard and then click “Console” in Chrome or Firefox)

No there aren’t. Try to check if fitvids is included in your website. Do do that, view the page source code (CTRL+U) and then use CTRL+F to search fitvid. Tell me if you get any result.

Hi, sorry for the late response. I’ve downloaded the latest version of Sydney free, which apparently contains a fix. Is your theme updated to the latest version? Also, refresh the page by using CTRL+F5 (hard refresh: clears the cache of the browser)

Hi, I’ve just checked the source code of your website (which I’ve assumed to be https://www.thebestbet.it/ from your previous post). I’ve found out that the YouTube video is wrapped inside a div with the class “fluid-width-video-wrapper”, and that is not done by Crelly Slider. A search on the internet suggests that it could be caused by this plugin. It is conflicting with Crelly Slider. Could you please try to disable that plugin and check if the situation gets fixed?

Disabled, still nothing. However I had already done the test to disable all plugins and leave only crelly slider logically … and it does not work the same!

If I go to the theme menu “appearance / customize / header area / header type / header type of the main page” and select Crelly Slider … it works … in the header of the home page the slide with the video works!

But it still does not work via shortcode within the page …
it only works in the header in the way I described you before …
