GDPR checkbox option?

Hello, I also need this option. I am happy to help developing it, but would need some pointers as to were to start (ie. which files to alter). It should not be hard, just a checkbox that must be checked before submission is possible. Thanks, Menno.

FYI: I have succesfully added a mandatory checkbox to the plugin widget. It is however very tailored now to my specific situation, as 1) it is (partly) in Dutch and 2) it contains a link to my privacy conditions. The former is easy to overcome, the latter should be configurable via the plugin settings.
I am happy to share my code, just let me know.

Give me a couple of days, I have a couple of deadlines atm. I’ll create a repository on Github then, and put the plugin there. I will also look into the possibility to disclose the altered plugin via wordpress, so we can easily install it like before. I will also add my Dutch translation there.
Is anyone able/willing to add an option to the plugin settings to allow the user (admin that is) to configure the link to the Privacy conditions page?

there is an updated version now here: https://github.com/mennowo/email-download-link
In this version, I added an option in the Settings page of the plugin, where one can enter a link to the privacy conditions page. If left empty, the checkbox is not displayed; if a link is entered, it will be used to display a checkox, asking for the user’s (explicit) consent.
Translation of the new elements is TODO (feel free to hop in, and just send a PR).
I will try find time to get this version up in the plugins repository, but that may take a while.

I’m sorry it took a while but I tested the new version. You can not install an update as a zip file on an existing installation. You will then receive a fatal error. The plugin then exists twice. Probably not the correct name given to the zip file. This works fine as a new installation on my test server. Everything seems to work, however, I miss the blue of the button itself. I am now going to see how I can contribute to a Dutch translation.

I only have the text of the button. The button itself, the color blue is missing.

you mean the button “send download link”? that’d be odd, I didn’t change anything there. maybe it has to do with theming…

That could be a theming issue, i will look in to it. I wil test it on the live version (when possible)> Then I know immediately whether it is theming or not.

I assume you’ve seen an update of the Dutch translation file?
