Plugin Stops working Unexpectedly

  • Hi there,
    Thanks again for the great plugin. I’m using this for such a long time. But recently found some issues on search bar.
    On our webpage, Search bar height becomes double and Ajax search Lite bar on header, dosen’t shows results(in a way it suppose to work) and actually stops working.
    Last time, it was automatically fixed after one hour.

    I have placed the Php shortcode code in the header file.
    <?php echo do_shortcode(‘[wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite]’); ?>

    and also tried within menu item php file with just
    echo do_shortcode(‘[wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite]’);

    Both the cases it works fine.

    But, Somehow unexpectedly it stops working
    Can you please suggest me some solution, how to fix it.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your kind words, and the details.

    Currently, it is working on my end, the site error console is clean as well. I suspect it might be related to a page/minify cache, if you use any.
    In case the page was cached somehow when the plugin was disabled momentarily, and got served back to your browser temporarly, it could explain the problem.
    Also, by default the plugin is not rendered in very old browsers (IE<8). My guess is, that maybe, someone visited the site from a very old or unkown browser, and the cache was re-created at the very same moment – and the unrendered search bar was cached.

    To make sure that it is not the cause, try turning off this option: https://i.imgur.com/V5L4UiB.png

    Then, try clearing the cache, and let’s hope it does not re-appear again.
