    hi there,
    just cleaned up my site again and after some minutes sucuri tells me that there is a new file on my server, called “liesmich.html” (german for readme.html”), but without any pieces of information where the file was placed, when exactly and which file size it has.
    – within “the WordPress Integrity” at Dashboard.

    I activated the “Information Leakage” in the Hardening section. I also rerun the site-scan and forced to rescan my site.

    Then I run a ftp search for the file, but nothing found.

    Any advice?

  • I just installed a fresh copy of the German version of WordPress 4.9.5 and cannot replicate the issue. This makes me believe that the problem that you are experiencing is related to some type of cache somewhere in the server.

    Thanks to your reply. I have to check. But this will last a while. My hosting provider isn’t that fast, sadly.
