Disable creating WebP images

    Is it possible to use image optimisation for jpg and png but disable the creation of the WebP images?

    I have LiteSpeed Cache Settings> Media Settings > Image WebP Replacement = OFF, but it still generates the WebP images.

    Hi,

    from what I know , seems no way to disable the WebP generationg ,but you can stop use it in front page by ” Image WebP Replacement = OFF”

    may I know if there is any particular reason you don’t like WebP ?

    I’m not yet convinced of the value of the WebP images. I know that I can disable them being served but this still wastes valuable disk space with files that then aren’t used.

    right, maybe as for now you can manually remove them in FTP or SSH …

    BTW, WebP can lower your bandwidth usage as most visitors are from Chrome nowadays .
