At some point recently either after an update or a conflict with a plugin, my mobile menu is no longer working on the theme. Instead it is now showing up all the way below the footer on the site.

Any ideas on why this is happening and what changed? I know the menu was working for a while, but not sure when the issue exactly happened.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there,

It is showing up fine for me at the top of the page.

Have you made sure to clear your browser caches etc?

@peter, thank you for the super fast reply.

I am running WP Super Cache but did clear my cache. The mobile menu that is showing is the theme generated mobile menu if you are seeing this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4is4d4qtjb24og3/Screenshot%202018-04-12%2007.36.58.png?dl=0

The one that should be showing, I see in my footer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vf1rsdna2hhem7k/Screenshot%202018-04-12%2007.37.11.png?dl=0

    Hey there,

No, I am seeing the second one but it doesn’t look like that.

It shows as a nice blue button with white lines in there. Have you tried it through a VPN or something or on another browser?

This is the first time I am looking at this site so I likely don’t have anything cached. When I said clear your browser cache I didn’t mean your WordPress cache as that would affect both of us, not just you.

    Hope that helps

Interesting, I have not tried it thru a VPN, but have tried it thru all of my browsers.

I see the correct mobile menu showing in thew wrong spot below the footer in Chrome & Firefox and also on my phone. I do not see the issue in Edge.

However, in all of the browsers I am seeing the wrong mobile menu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4is4d4qtjb24og3/Screenshot%202018-04-12%2007.36.58.png?dl=0 would be the wrong one. Thats the theme generated mobile menu that we overwrote last April. I know you helped me with it back then, but I doubt you would still have the site in your cache & even if so, it would have been the production site.

The CSS that is set to hide is: #Top_bar .menu_wrapper with a breakpoint of 800 pixels. I do not recall updating the theme since the launch of the site either.

    Hey there,

I’ve tried it on many devices on and off my own network and on different browsers and on all of them it’s fine.

It could be that your ISP has cached the pages, have you made sure to test on a different network and as I say through a VPN, proxy or similar service?

I also don’t see the theme mobile menu being shown whilst mine is showing.

    Please advise

    @peter,
Thanks for this info. I downloaded Opera which has a VPN built into it, but even without activating the VPN I could see the menu properly. On one of my phone browsers I saw it wrong, however in Chrome on the phone, I saw it correct.

I will check to see what this issue is, if it is ISP related or something else. But it does not appear to be any issue that is caused by the plugin. Thank you!

    Hey there,

Excellent news and I’m glad you are hopefully one step closer towards a fix ??

    Have a great day

    Peter
