404 redirecting to 404-2

    Hi,

    I created a custom 404 page, however it redirects to /404-2/

    Am I doing something wrong? Is there an easy way to correct this?

    WordPress does not allow pages (or posts) with a numeric permalink. You can test it yourself, for example by creating a page titled 123. WordPress makes 123-2. This is WP and has nothing to do with the 404page plugin.

    The URL of the generated 404 error page is completely irrelevant, because 404 errors are not redirected. It does not matter what URL the page has.

    Just type in an address that does not exist and you’ll see that everything works fine.
