• When working under the Customize feature on my dashboard, everything looks the way I would like, and I am able to make updates. However, when I take my page off of Maintenance Mode, or simply click “visit site” when in Dashboard, it shows a completely different version of my site that doesn’t show the formatting customizations I have made. It looks similar to the original formatting of the theme I have purchased and downloaded, with my content.

I have deactivated any additional plug-ins. The theme I am working on is called Soledad.

My site looks exactly how I want when I “customize” but when I publish it looks totally different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??

    Before viewing changes, try :
Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare.
Flushing Managed host caches. Managed WP hosting often has special caches. If your host has a “Purge Varnish” or “Flush Memcache” tool, try that. You can ask your provider to flush memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.

    Thank you for your response.
Forgive me, I’m brand new to creating a website.

The only plug-ins I have activated are Bluehost and Maintenance Mode. I cleared my browser cache, I don’t know how to clear caches of anything else.

Everything else you said is totally over my head. I had read on a different forum that there may be an error with my installed theme. Does re-installing mean starting my website design from scratch? :'(

Hi- I had this same exact problem. I’m also totally new to wordpress, so it’s been quite the learning curve. Are you saving your changes in “draft” mode? That was my problem- once I switched from saving under “draft” mode to “publish”, it switched over and now the website looks the same as it does when I go to customize it. Hopefully this helps.
