pdb_record not respecting Sign Up indicator

  • Hi, finally got to provide our members with a way of updating their membership record and all working well. It took me a while to realise I had to put pdb_record on its own page rather than just link to the original membership form… Might be worth mentioning that in the notes for this feature?

    However, pdb_record displays all the fields in a group even though many are not part of the sign up form. This is because they contain information added by our treasurer later and we dont want it changed by the member! Or even displayed.

    I could set up a separate group but there are a lot of groups already and means changing any number of other reporting pages. And listing all the fields will be a right PITA. Any other solution? Could you put an optional filter on pdb_record to respect the signup field?

    The [pdb_record] form will show all the public fields by default. You will need to use the “fields” or “groups” attribute to limit what the shortcode shows.

    Another approach would be to uncheck the “public” checkbox for the groups you don’t want shown on the frontend.
