    Hi Everyone

I just got WordPress up and running (sort of). When I click the ‘About’ link to go to the static ‘About’ page, I get the ‘page not found’ error.

I tried re-publishing the page and also deleting it and re-publishing it. still no use. I have my core wp files in a blog sub-folder, but have the index and htaccess in the root directory. Don’t know if this has anything to do with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Jill

  • Did you change your permalink-structure somewhen inbetween?
Did you set your about-page on “private”
    Just some thoughts.
oh, you DO have other static pages which do show up? Then it shouldn′t be about sub-folder-issues, I′d guess…

thanks for the reply. I just tried doing a test static page and I got the same error. I couldn’t find where I could set the static pages to private, I thought I had setup everything as public. Could you please tell me where I can find setting a static page to private?

    tx
