Hi, my Instagram feed has suddenly stopped displaying on my blog a couple of days ago! It’s in the footer widget. I haven’t made any changes that I can think of, so I’m a bit puzzled. I have another website with pretty much the same set-up and the plugin is still working fine on that site.

I tried refreshing my access token and relinking my Instagram account, but this hasn’t worked.

I saw in the FAQ that I should check for a Javascript error, and I tried that using the Google Chrome console. It returned this error:

“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 429 ()”

I’d be very grateful for any help you can give me! Thank you.

    Hey elz91,

It looks like your reaching the request limit for your access token. Did you transfer this access token from another app by any chance? The access tokens from our plugins have a higher limit than some others. Try clicking the big blue button on the “Configure” tab to get a new access token.

Let me know if this fixes the issue.

    Thanks,

    Craig

    Hi Craig,

I’ve tried using the blue button to refresh the token, but this doesn’t seem to be working. No, I haven’t used it in another app. The access token was generated when I first started using the plug-in and I haven’t had any problems with it until the last couple of days. The Instagram feed is working intermittently, but just stopped working again a few minutes ago!

    Thanks,
    Ellie

    Hey Ellis,

Since posting this we’ve noticed that Instagram has silently changed the API request limit to 200. We are working on a caching system that will fix this problem. It should be available within a few days if not sooner. I’ll let you know when the update is available for download! Sorry for the inconvenience.
