How to change/eliminate the default footer?

  • Hey, just downloaded this theme to try it out…so far I think I like it, but one thing that’s bugging me is I can’t find anywhere to modify (or turn off entirely) the footer that has the calendar, categories, pages, and archives shown. It’s not the footer widget area…and I don’t see any place in the customization for it.

    Where are the controls for this footer?

    …actually, found I could do this in the Additional CSS:

    .w_footer {
    display:none;
    }

    Would like to know if there was a more “official” way to deal with that section though.
