Older versions of theme GeneratePress

  • Hi Tom,

    I’m using your theme for years now (because it’s the best ?? ).
    With some early sites I had the theme not set on automatic update. WP-version is up-to-date. Can you foretell if I will run into problems if I update to the latest version of GeneratePress?

    By the way, is there a safetyrisk in using an old version of your theme?
    And will a theme ever make changes in the database?

    Hi there,

    We work really hard to make sure updates are seamless, so you shouldn’t run into any issues.

    Of course, it’s never a bad idea to run a full site backup before doing big updates.

    In some updates we make small database changes to the GP options. For example, if an option is being removed in favor of a better option.
