How to update from repository

    Hi,

    I am having problems with the scheduler since updating to 3.61. I saw in another thread that there is an update which is not coming up in the admin section. You recommended going to the repository to get the update.

    The only download I can find is the entire plugin. When I go to upload it – it fails – because the folder exists already.

    Can you give instructions with the direct download link for the update and explain how it can be updated without getting a failure notice or messing up the installation?

  • You can deactivate Mail Poet and delete it, the add the new one like you would any new plug-in. All your data is there is the database.

    Another rmethod is to FTP to your site, change the name of the plugin folder (add an X in front) then install the new version. You can delete the folder with X later.

    I can’t imagine why this is necessary, but that’s what you get.
