Why do I need to Jetpack to use this?!

  • Plugin sounded good…but do I need to install and connect Jetpack to use this?! Jetpack is one of the worst plugin ever…

  • I think they need Jetpack to authenticate through wordpress.com. It would have a much bigger success as a stand-alone plugin that manages the authentication by itself when Jetpack is disabled since a lot of people use other plugins (more specialized or not) to replicate Jetpack’s features.

    I agree. I don’t use JetPack and disable everything. Now I have a 20GB plugin on each website, on a limited hosting account, That I don’t use except to provide authentication to WordPress.com.
