Auto Publish Turns Off

  • Hi, I have a site that auto publishes to Facebook and Twitter.
    The posts are moderated before they are published to the main site.
    When a user ‘submits for review’ with sharing to Facebook and Twitter set to yes, our moderators have noticed that when they review the post, the sharing options have changed to no. Ive tested this and this is the case for all posts submitted for review. How is it possible to enable the Yes (share on Facebook and Twitter) to remain set to Yes when the post has been submitted for review?

  • Social Media Auto Publish will only auto post WordPress published posts.
    So when the posts are submitted for review it is not published on your wordpress site and thus won’t post to social media even though it is set to yes,if the posts are WordPress scheduled post types then a postmeta will be created so that it will auto post when it is published on your WordPress site.
    If you want to set the option to Yes ,there is an option Default selection of auto publish while editing posts/pages/custom post types (in the latest version) ,set it to Enabled .If you are using any old version then set Default selection of auto publish while editing posts/pages,as yes.

    Hi and thanks.

    I understand that the post won’t auto publish until the post has published, but thats not what I meant.

    Currently my setting is set to default ‘Yes’ to automatically publish to social media. When a user submits a post for review, the options are set to yes, but when the post is checked before being published, the options for auto publish are set to ‘No’ and have to be manually changed back to ‘Yes’.

    Is this a bug? If the option is set to ‘Yes’ when submitted for review, should the option not still be ‘Yes’ when it is checked and published?

    If Default selection of auto publish while editing posts/pages,is set to yes and it shows up as no ,then it must be an issue, could you please contact our support desk ?.
