Archives always showing in google search

    Hi guys,
    I use Yoast SEO and followed their setting up video to the letter. However, when I do a site:myurl.com loads of archives show up. I’ve never seen this before.
    Is this normal?
    If not, how do I turn it off please?

    Hi,

    You can go to your admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > Content Types & Archives Tabs, and select the option for those archives not to show in the search results. They will be dropped from your XML Sitemap and will have a noindex tab so that they don’t show up in the search results.
