Hi, you can see my store on the provided link. It’s a floor store.

We have 7 main essence of woods which are our products.

We have different collections from different manufacturers which gives us different colors. I’ve made variables for the colors and collections.

    1. With the filter when I check a color or collection in the store it shows the main product image. I can’t get the variable image to show up.

    2. With the filter if I check a color or collection in the store, when I click a product it opens the product at the main image. I would like to have the color/collection automatically chosen in my dropdowns.

    Thanks for helping me!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

When a variation is selected (all attributes are chosen and a variation is matched), then the product image image will be switched out for the variation image.

This will not happen the other way around by default – changing the attributes when an image is selected. That will require customization.

    Hi Caleb,

I think you’re referring to the product page itself. You change the attribute in the dropdown list and the image changes.

I’m talking on the store page here https://dev.dpal.ca/categorie-produit/bois-franc/ if I use the left filter to filter by color for example the image in the resulting filtered results doesn’t change to the image of the attribute. It will just show the default image.

Let me know if it’s possible or if any plugins exist that can do that.

    Ah, gotcha.

So on archives it’s not selecting variations – just filtering by attributes. Variations can be made up of multiple attributes – filtering by just one wouldn’t necessarily select a variation.

So no, there’s not a way to do this by default I’m afraid. Perhaps something like this could work: https://iconicwp.com/products/woocommerce-show-single-variations/, though I have not tried it and can’t vouch for it directly.

If everyone go through this issue, the plugin recommendation Caleb gave me exactly solve the issue.

    Thanks a lot Caled!
