Does not work

  • Using the Divi theme, this plugin is not working… do not know why, never have issues, but the code is not found in html and when trying to activate Google Analytics says cannot authenticate with website. ??

    Please fix.

    I’m sorry to hear that CAOS isn’t working for you, Mitch. Are you using any caching or minification extensions that are interfering with the plugin? Have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if it works then?

    It’s fine that you’re leaving a 1-star review. But you need to come with some more information in order to debug the issue.

    I’ve recently tested this plugin with Divi and it does work, using the default settings and no other plugins. I know this is not a realistic testing scenario, but it does mean that CAOS is compatible with Divi and that it must be either a setting in Divi or another plugin which is interfering with CAOS’ functionality.

    @menkom I just wanted to let you know that I recently added a compatibility option to add the tracking code manually. So you could select that option and copy the tracking code snippet to Divi’s <head> block in the Theme’s Options.

    Hi, I had the same issue with Google Analytics, it suddenly told me that my site wasn′t verified. I have running Swift Performance Lite plugin and I blamed it, but there was no correlation. Google just turned a “non-verified site” a lot of sites because some issue with google tag manager. Check that first, I almost lost my mind trying to understand which plugin was the troublemaker there.
    Can I try CAOS while having enabled Swift? Swift allow users to exclude certain scripts as analytics.js

    I presume it’ll work fine with Swift. The analytics.js file isn’t enqueued as a WP script on purpose, so that most optimization plugins will skip it automatically.

    Please let me know if you run into anything. CAOS is light weight, which makes it compatible with basically any system.

    Thank you so much for quick response! I′ll try it. Since I′m not a developer all these things are confusing for me, but I don′t want Google to slow down my site, neither I want them stop tracking it.

    This is what Swift does with Google Analytics:

    Bypass Google Analytics (If you enable this option your site will send pageviews and events with AJAX requests in the background using the Google Analytics Measurement protocol)

    Tracking ID (You can specify here the Google Analytics tracking ID.)

    IP Source (If your site is behind a proxy (eg. Cloudflare or Nginx reverse proxy) the IP source should be set properly. The plugin will detect and suggest the proper source)

    Oeh, sending Analytics requests using AJAX. Cool!

    I installed the CAOS for Analytics plugin.
    But I had to disable it because it didn’t detect traffic properly. Some visisite were lost. My theme is DIVI.
    What causes this?

    How did you test this? Have you tried to insert the tracking code manually into Divi’s theme options (header html)?
