I have been using wordpress for a years, but this is my first time using EC2 server.
I already installed php, and it works.

But my problem is, that wordpress show the “index” like a FTP tree of folders. I thought that it could be because I use SSL, I deleted this SSL certificate and the problem is still ocurring.

The .htaccess points to the index.php.

And I tried to install wordpress,I can do it. But the index.php never load. As much I only can access to wp-admin panel or installation.

    There is a snaphot

  • Make sure that your WordPress files are placed in the correct web root directory on your server.

If there is a problem with the index file, you can also try to replace the index.php file from the latest WordPress installation and then try again.

Thanks for your answer @rosehosting ??

About the root directory I verified that, and I just download the last version for the website of wordpress for console with wget (Ubuntu) on SSH. But I have already the same problem.

The strange is that it charges all the .php that are located in wp-admin. But not the rest. I checked the permissions, and all the wordpress documents have 777.

Have you another idea about this?

This is a hosting setup issue, not a WordPress issue. Did you install mod_php and/or php-fpm and enable it for this directory?

I have active in apache php7.0. mod.
    Should I active mod_php? @sterndata

mod_php should be active if you’re using Apache to serve the site.

Yes, I checked that and was active. But should be a problem with the installation. I removed apache and php completely. And when I reinstall all, the problem was solved.

    Thanks for all ??

This is one e.g where if you miss some files or updates things can look messed up.. good choice to retry again and it fixed things for you.. Lucky I was suppose to suggest the same .. but at the end read you already fixed it.. good work.
