Why do I need an app?

    Hi,
    I don′t understand and see no explanation anywhere why I need to create a facebook APP to be able to import the events of a PAGE.

    Can you clarify what this APP is for and why I need one?

    I tried setting this up but don′t really know how to configure this facebook app.
    I entered the app credentials but cannot see anything.
    When error logging the response i got an OAuthException:

    {“error”:{“message”:”(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (events) on node type (Event)”,”type”:”OAuthException”,”code”:100,”fbtrace_id”:”B2pLm\/df3Vl”}}

    What′s wrong?

    Got it working, seems simply the page_id was wrong :/
