Add to Cart & Paypal Buttons dissapeared

  • WordPress 4.9.4 running Mechanic theme.

    Had a specific way we wanted the catalogue laid out with various sub categories etc. Installed WooCommerce Catalog Booster and it looked fantastic, just how we wanted products to display.

    Suddenly realised that none of the products had ‘buy it now’, ‘add to cart’ or the Paypal buttons visible on the listings. Only way to get them to appear was to disable WooCommerce Catalog Booster (disabled at present). Googled and googled to search for answers, tried everything I could find but no matter what I did the buttons would not appear.

    Then realised after some updates that WooCommerce Status also states “WooCommerce Catalog Booster by impleCode – 1.0.7 – Not tested with the active version of WooCommerce”.

    Could the no buttons appearing be caused by the compatibility issue and will it be fixed when Catalog Booster is updated to work with latest version of WooCommerce?

  • I’m having a similar issue. This plugin makes everything look great but then when people try to actually buy a product a 404 error pops up when they try to check out

    Hello @johnwoodsmotorcare,

    The original problem is that by default the templates are designed to work without the buy or add to cart feature if you use it with eCommerce Product Catalog. We are still working on it.

    We soon realised that the eCommerce Product Catalogue which has to be installed alongside WooCommerce Catalog Booster to make it work takes the Add to Cart and Buy It Now options off and to have them reinstated it would require us purchasing a $50+ plugin for that feature. That defeats the object of using WooCommerce and we were not willing to spend another $50+ for a feature which is standard on all WooCommerce installations.

    Actually there is no such free or paid solution to enable that button.

    What you probably saw was a complete separate premium shopping cart system that has nothing to do with WooCommerce.

    Currently the best way to add the other WooCommerce elements that are currently not implemented is to use the eCommerce Product Catalog templates.
