Post text being deleted

  • I have my whole post written, then I add the recipe widget with wp recipe maker. Save and close the widget, back in the post. Copy 2 lines from the text in the post, go back into wp recipe maker widget, paste 2 lines, save and close, then everything is gone from my post except the recipe widget, the H2 at the very top and the first photo under that. All body text is gone. I try control z to undo and it doesn’t do anything, try ‘back’ in browser and doesn’t work. No revisions offered to recover. I KNOW this is some glitch with the plugin because this exact same scenario happened to me a few months ago when I did the exact same thing.

    SO FRUSTRATING losing 4 hours of work!!!

    I have never seen or heard about this issue before so I’m not sure what’s going wrong. So far I have not been able to replicate it either.

    When editing a recipe we don’t touch the post content upon save, so I’m not sure why we’d be affecting anything.

    Do you have a set number of steps I can go through to replicate the issue?
