• Hey guys, if we change a permalink of a post or page the notification is shown that we changed a permalink but it is not added to the redirects table automatically.

The URL-Monitor is set for pages and posts.

    What can we do?

    Thank you! Greetings from Germany,

    Sebastian

Can you give an example of what you are changing from and to?

I am seeing the same thing, no automatic redirects are being created even though I have pages and posts enabled to be monitored. Manually created redirects work fine.

An example of a redirect I tried was from: /china-has-killed-epayment-systems to: /china-has-killed-epayments

I’ve tested with all other plugins disabled and using a default WordPress theme. It happens on both my live and staging sites.

How are you changing the URLs?

Below the title of a post there is a input for permalink. How could I change it any other way? ??

    Thanks

I am changing the link using the Edit button next to the Permalink on Pages and Posts:

    See https://pasteboard.co/HeM1jBj.png

Jumping in – running into the same problem. I have an installation with the Redirection plugin and after a post has been published and the permalink set, if I edit the permalink a redirect is not automatically created.

I am experiencing this as well when editing the URL in the full edit window or when using Quick Edit from the posts list. No automatic redirects are being generated for posts, pages or the one custom post type. All are selected on the options screen. I have tried checking and unchecking these options. I have also uninstalled the caching plugin I use and redirection, installing redirection again and nothing gets generated.

This issue still exists on version 3.4.1. Can you please provide an update on the issue? Thank you very much.
