• I would like to use this for a new site I’m building. This site will have 6 different people involved with the site and they would all like to have their Instagram accounts show on their individual bio pages – is this possible with the free version?

I tried following the directions for adding multiple feeds; however, the first account will show up and then on the other pages, I just see a spinning icon for loading and then the “Load More” and “Follow on Instagram” buttons…but no photos. See example here: https://honkytonkranchtv.com/bellamy-brothers-instagram-photos/

  • Hey JustDuckyDesigns,

To answer your question… yes this is possible with the Free version. What you want to do is pass the User ID of each account directly into your shortcode for each feed and not list them all in the plugin’s general settings. Here is how your shortcode would look (see below) and just place the appropriate shortcode on each person’s bio page.

    [instagram-feed id=1998041795 num=20 cols=4]

This will display a grid display of the instagram photos from the Bellamy Brothers with four columns and a total of 5 rows. 20 images divided by 4 columns equals 5 rows of photos in grid format. You can adjust the “num” an “cols” values for each of the feeds as you wish.

Last but not least also change the user account id to reflect whatever Instagram account you want the display to show images from for each feed.

Yes, that is exactly what I did – but all I get is the waiting icon and no images – see here: https://honkytonkranchtv.com/susan-bellamy-photos/

This is what I have on that page: [instagram-feed id=”2033044961″] (this is for Susan).

If I go to the setting page and put the Bellamy Brothers Access Token on there, the the Bellamy Brothers Instagram feed will show up – but everyone else’s shows what you now see on Susan’s page. If I got to the settings page and put Susan’s Access Token on there, then Susan’s Instagram feed will show up – but everyone else’s shows nothing but what you see on Susan’s page now.

I really want to use this plug in, but I’m getting really frustrated.

    Hey JustDuckyDesigns,

Sorry for the frustration! It looks like the access token you’re using was likely generated from somewhere outside of the plugin. Does that sound possible?

In order to get an access token that has permission to access data for all public feeds, you will need to click on the big blue button on the “Configure” tab inside the settings page for Instagram Feed.

Go to your WordPress Dashboard – Instagram Feed – 1. Configure (tabbed page) – click on the big blue button with the Instagram icon and the words “Log in and get my Access Token and User ID). Once you have done this then make sure you are using both the access token and user id provided.

You should then be able to set up the feeds as previously described. If that does not work then please contact us through our support page here to receive additional support and avoid placing any personal user id or other information on the forum.

Let us know if this works for you in case others find themselves in a similar situation.

The problem with that is – I am the web designer, not the site owner. I would have to be logged into their Instagram account to do this. The access tokens that I used were given to me from the site owner themselves.

Question – could I simply log into to my Instagram account – but not display anything from my Instagram account and then just use their individual user IDs to display their feeds?

    Hey JustDuckyDesigns,

Yes. That should work just fine. What is displayed in a feed on the site will not dependent on who’s Instagram access token and user ID is being used in the main plugin settings but rather what specific account ID is specified in the shortcode if you want to display an Instagram feed from an account other than your own.

Let me know if that works.

I tried it that way and it seems to be working perfectly! Thanks so much for your help ??

Excellent! You are most welcome and I hope you have a great day.
