yet another “facebook feed won’t display”

    I know that this must be a privacy issue. This is for a client who has now set up two pages, but neither will display. I explained privacy settings and audience restrictions and I proved it works by using my own business facebook page which displays fine. However, my personal page does not. So, using my own personal page as a test so that I can tell my client what to do, I’m looking for the setting that will allow my page to display, but I cannot find what it is. I’m assuming it must be in privacy settings. I’ve even gone back in time and changed ALL my posts to public, but it still won’t display. I am successfully using this on other sites and it works fine – those seem to be all business pages and not personal – not sure if that’s proving to be the difference.
    Can you help me determine what the issue is?

    Hi @mbaydesign,

    It looks like you’re trying to display a profile rather than a page. The page plugin only works with pages, you cannot use it to embed a persons profile.
    For example:
    The official Facebook page will work: https://www.facebook.com/FacebookAU/
    Mark Zuckerberg’s profile will not: https://www.facebook.com/zuck

    Hope that clears it up.

    Thank you – I had assumed it might have been the difference between a personal “page” (profile) vs “business” page, but I didn’t realize there was a restriction in the plugin until now. Thanks!
