How to add a navigation bar below header in my theme?

I recently installed this theme:
https://www.wpthemes4free.com/766-wordpress-theme-devenir-en-gris/It is a very old theme, but I love it because of its monochromatic feel.
I want to add a vertical navigation bar below the header. I am no techie and I do not have much knowledge about CSS codes etc.
Can anyone help me? I will be very thankful.
