Need advice on migration beta site to live site

    The live website has an active woocommerce section. I’m working on a beta site o test server that will include an entirely new site plus a new look for the woocommerce pages. When I migrate the new site to the live site’s server what will happen with the products and orders? How would I migrate everything but the products and orders? I need the live site’s orders to remain. Thanks

    I will do this:
    1. Export the live site
    2. Import the live site to the test site
    3. Make changes to the test site
    4. The test site is ready
    5. Put the live site under maintenance so your visitors will see a nice maintenance page telling them that you will be right back.
    5. Create a new backup (this will be used in case you are not happy with the import from test site).
    6. Export only the database from the live site
    7. Import the database on the test site
    8. Export the test site
    9. Import the backup from step 7 onto the live site
    10. Remove maintenance mode.
    11. If something is not working as it should, you can restore the backup that you made in step #5
