    Hi,

I am unable to get the plugin working on my form. I have it on my beta website with the exact same theme and plugins, and it works perfectly. But it just does not work on my current website. I have double checked my email, the api, everything… but to no avail. I would sincerely appreciate any help given. Thank you! ??

The following error message comes up:

Warning: simplexml_load_string(): Entity: line 1: parser error : Start tag expected, ‘<‘ not found in /home2/peranak1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mad-mimi-wp/providers/madmimi/functions.php on line 25

Warning: simplexml_load_string(): Unable to authenticate in /home2/peranak1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mad-mimi-wp/providers/madmimi/functions.php on line 25

    Warning: simplexml_load_string(): ^ in /home2/peranak1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mad-mimi-wp/providers/madmimi/functions.php on line 25

    Hello there,

Since we were not able to replicate this behavior into our local installation of WordPress and since we have no other reports of this issue from our other users, this issue might be something unique to your installation caused by a plugin or theme conflict.

We need to find out what is causing the issue in order to sort out this issue.

To search for conflicts, please follow these steps.

    1. First please deactivate all plugins except Optin Cat and see if the issue persists.
    2. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one to see if the issue returns.
    3. If no conflict is found among your plugins, try reverting to a default WP theme like ‘Twenty Sixteen’, or ‘Twenty Seventeen’, and see if the issue is resolved.

    Head here for detailed instructions:
    https://fatcatapps.com/knowledge-base/search-for-conflicts/

If you find a conflict with a plugin or theme, please let us know the name of the software and we’ll see if we can patch issue in the next update if it’s a fairly popular one.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have tried both methods. After deactivating ALL plugins except this one, the same error occured. I have also tried changing it back to the default WP theme but with the same results.

    Please do advise.

    Thank you so much!

    Hello there,

    Sorry for the late reply.

We’re stuck on this one. The fact that it is working in our environment and for other users says that it must be something wrong with your installation.

I think this might also be a hosting issue because we have seen some instances of some issues nad warnings being caused by the hosting environment of the users and their settings.

I am afraid we cannot offer much help beyond the conflict isolation steps because the forums is the place where we assist with general issues and not edge cases like this.

We apologize for the trouble. I am closing this ticket now.
