I was able to regenerate images and sync with Google Cloud Storage without issue. After doing this the plugin correctly modifies the URLs for all images in the backend and I can verify that the image files are served up via Google Cloud Storage CDN.

Now I want to serve up .js and .css files from Google Cloud using this plugin. I tried the following 2 synchronizations but neither of them have worked.

    • “Synchronize non-images files between Google Storage and local server” – resulted in “Error appeared”
    • “Synchronize non media library files between Google Storage and local server” – just stays stuck at 0%.

Am I able to serve up more content than just images with this plugin?

@estepup .js and .css files isn’t supported yet. You will find a list of supported plugins in Compatibility tab on Media >> Settings page. Only files generated by those plugin get synchronize now.

Thanks for the quick reply. This really is a great plugin – W3 Total Cache and the other big plugins don’t support Google Cloud Storage CDN. Do you have an ETA when other file extensions will be available in this plugin?

We don’t have ETA now but we are continuously adding support for other plugins.

@estepup It is almost impossible to keep track of JS/CSS files accurately(because lack of action/filter hook). You can create a issue on Github so we can look into this in near future.

But if you use your own custom theme where you have control over every JS/CSS on frontend, that could be a different story. In that case we maybe able to build a custom solution.
