Publishing to Apple News

    I’ve been approved as an Apple News Publisher and the plugin is publishing my posts. But when I check out my Apple News Channel via iCloud I see a list of my posts with the option to publish them.

    Why are all my posts showing there as if they haven’t been published? Does this mean that the posts aren’t publishing properly via Apple News & the plugin? Or may I ignore the posts in my Channel displaying in iCloud?

    Also, I understand Apple News is only meant for English language posts. My posts are always in English. But I sometimes add a sentence in Hebrew for Israeli readers. I usually get a JSON error when I do this. May I ignore the error or do the Hebrew characters mess up anything in the publication process?

    Apple News only supports English. It’s not in scope for the plugin or their API to support Hebrew characters unfortunately. If the posts show up on Apple News without errors, that’s fine. If they appear broken on Apple News, their team may reach out to you to ask that you correct the errors.

    With regards to posts showing up as unpublished, please verify that you’re not checking off the box marked “Preview”: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/wiki/usage#publishing-from-the-post-edit-screen

    If you’re not checking that off and they’re still showing up unpublished, you’ll need to contact Apple News support directly since that would be outside the purview of the plugin.
