This is a great plugin, backups are reliable, it allows for different types of backups such as the whole site or just the database. You can backup locally on the server or to the cloud and if needed download a copy to your local computer using the plugin. I did have a techie question which I raised with WPvivid support, I received a very quick and knowledgeable reply, many thanks Nicholas.

I’ve got the premium lifetime license and i’m more than happy. I’ve used a lot the rollback feature for themes and plugins, together with backups to remote cloud servers and local. Everything is smooth. I have opened several tickets to optimize the server settings, as my database is around 2GB and total backup with files is 28 GB. Everything runs great and schedules periodic backups to Amazon S3 cloud, which are easily downloadable directly to the local computer within the plugin without FTP or login into AWS. Totally recommended, both for plugin and support.

I am new to WP and while playing around this is really good to return to a stable state. sometimes I had corrupt archives when uploading but that may not be due to the plug in, and well it is good practice to test the back up anyway before relying on it, so it just wastes a few minutes. Only happens like 1 in 20 times, not an issue for me. Good job, not tried the pro yet, if I move beyond tinkering with WP might be an option, keep up the good product.

Edited after fixing the issue by myself: it was due to a misconfiguration on my part; however, WpVivid support clearly stated that Fluent SMTP was the culprit without any real testing of the issue and that’s not good customer support practice. My review is for the Pro version.Here is what I don’t like:- support is relatively fast but not very helpful- the MainWp extension is unfinished so central management of your websites backups is quite a joke- there are unresolved PHP warnings and their recommendation is to just hide them- the documentation is totally not up to date and lacks proper details; I have around 21 support tickets and I am not at all satisfied by some of their answers- the restore option is not 100% reliable- in my opinion is not yet a reliable product as others Their prices are small compared to the competition but that doesn’t help when you have issues with the product, their support and can’t trust the reliability of your backups & restores & rollbacks. After around 20 support tickets most of them mainly created because lack of proper documentation or outdated documentation I feel that I don’t trust the product anymore. I really hope they will step up and polish the product and the documentation.
