Installation

Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest way to install WordPress Import Export plugin.

To do it, log in to your WordPress admin panel and go to : Plugin -> Add New and click on Upload Plugin.

Select the zip file and click on Install Now. After clicking that link, you will be asked if you are sure you want to install the plugin. Click yes and WordPress will automatically complete the installation process

Manual installation

The manual installation involves uploading all the files to your web server through a FTP software.

Unzip the archive, then upload the wp-import-export-lite folder to wp-content/plugins directory.

Finally activate the plugin through your WordPress admin.

WORST SUPPORT EVER

Do NOT pay this company any money or use any of their plugins. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We purchased the pro version of the plugin and it did not work properly from day 1. I have contacted support multiple times. They were responding but it took them several weeks in between each message I sent them. And they were not providing any help or werent lookingo the issue. I finally have now asked for a refund and they have gone silent and wont respond at all. I think they now have even removed the plugin from the plugin store.

Worst Import Export Plugin!

I just remembered I used this before and its quite confusing if you’re doing this the first time. Installed the plugin on the first site, started the export. Ran smoothly. Then installed the plugin on the second site, started the import process. Experience was confusing and I didn’t know I would just drag and drop the id from the right to the inputs. After trying a similar plugin it was smoother coz it was labeled well. I realized after using another plugin that this could be similar to this plugin. If you can label and make the experience better it could be better.

Extremely flexible import/export! Does everything I need

I tried several import/export plug-ins but this one was the most sophisticated. It’s a bit difficult to figure out what all the options mean the first time through but it’s extremely powerful and let me migrate data from one site to another with different field requirements. You drag and drop the data field names from export onto the fields for import! It’s that easy to reassign fields. You can also set specific fields to literal values when necessary.

Tried to migrate from one site to another per the instructions. On the receiving side, I get the error: “incompatible file.” So it doesn’t work.

False Advertising

Falsely states in plugin search results: “Complete Import & Export solution for Posts, Pages, Custom Post, Users, Taxonomies, Comments, Products, Orders, Coupons, Customers.” I then tried to use this to import WC orders from another website and it says I need the premium version. Waste of my time with false advertising and yet another plugin that is just an advertisement to buy a paid version.
