The print layout needs a lot of work, but if you ignore that, the plugin does pretty well and is an 80% solution for recipes. I don’t understand why the plugin author wants items added in this format:
onions, chopped | 2 large
Putting the quantity and measurement at the end after a vertical bar does nothing to help the formatting. In fact, when it displays on the page it shows up as:
onions, chopped 2 large
So, this looks ridiculous and is not like any recipe you will see anywhere else. I would expect the quantity and measurement to be formatted as a right-aligned element in the left-most column, and the ingredient and prep instruction to be a left-aligned element in the right-most column.
On another point, directions get mushed together without any separation in the editor. They come out fine on the page, but in the editor it’s a bit of a mess.
I haven’t figured out how to add step-by-step photos as yet. Perhaps that comes later?
Certainly this plugin is worth looking at, but it also is a work in progress. It’s great to have it as an option!

Can’t believe this plugin has so little users or reviews. I like it so much better than the other more popular recipe plugins. Where they falter is lack of customizability. This one is completely customizable so that you can make it match your blog in appearance and it doesn’t look obviously like a plugin.
