Installation
- Install the WooCommerce OpenNode plugin:
- Install through WordPress Plugin Manager: Admin ? Plugins ? Add New ? Enter “opennode woocommerce” in search ? Click “Install Now”
- Upload ZIP: Admin ? Plugins ? Add New ? Upload Plugin
- Extract ZIP and upload extracted directory to the
/wp-content/plugins/through FTP
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Enter API Credentials to WooCommerce-OpenNode Plugin Settings: Admin ? WooCommerce ? Click on Checkout tab ? Find “OpenNode” in Payment Gateways table ? Click “Settings”
- Check “Enable Cryptocurrency payments via OpenNode” checkbox.

The OpenNode for WooCommerce plugin is a classy way to accept Bitcoin LN payments. I came across this one and I am happy that I can withdraw the funds automatically to my account. Together with the possibility to send invoices from inside the account this makes for us the perfect choice.

If you’re thinking about accepting bitcoin for your site, this is the plug-in to choose. This is much better than any other bitcoin plugin on Wordpress because OpenNode gives me the ability to accept bitcoin instantly. I never have to worry about chargebacks – which is huge for my business.
I have no tech background and was able to get this hooked up to my site in a few minutes. During the process I got mixed up with denominations and how I was pricing my products in BTC (bitcoin) but the OpenNode support chat got back to me within a few seconds to help me out. I highly recommend OpenNode for anyone thinking to accept bitcoin.
