Installation
- Option 1: Install directly from your WordPress dashboard by navigating to
Plugins->Add New, searching for Herd Effects, and clicking install. - Option 2: Download the plugin as a .zip file, then upload it via
Plugins->Add New->Upload Plugin, or unzip and upload it via FTP to/wp-content/plugins/.
After installation:
- Press Activate in the Plugins list.
- Navigate to Herd Effects in the WordPress admin menu to start creating your first set of notifications.
- Customize your popup template using the provided fields for titles, icons, and text.
- Define variable values (like names, locations, or amounts) and set the desired minimum and maximum values for numeric data.
- Paste the generated shortcode (e.g.,
[Wow-Herd-Effects id=1]) into the desired location on your site.
For global notifications, insert the shortcode into your header.php or use a shortcode widget.

Didn’t work properly for me using the shortcode on one of my templates and it wasn’t worth trying to fix it because the plugin is very restricted in the free version. Can’t style it at all so you’re left with a plain black look which is nothing but a distraction that looks very fake. Scarily I was putting it on my checkout page and recon this would have scared visitors off rather than pushed them towards the sale.
Support works also
Why take the time and trouble to lie to those visiting your website when you could use a plugin to help? Herd Effects capitalizes on the emotional and brings out the worst in humanity to increase traffic to your website.

This plugin works exactly as specified. It’s the easiest to use of all plugins like this. The developer is extremely responsive and support is fantastic. I highly recommend using this plugin for your Herd Effects needs.
I installed and configured the plugin and it unconfigured all the banners on my homepage both on the desktop and on the mobile. Beautiful crap.
