The plugin generates interactive, responsive, touch-enabled SVG maps which are embedded directly into your HTML5 pages and compatible with all modern browsers and devices.

Privacy Information & External Services

This plugin will build the maps using the amcharts visualization library which provides hundreds of different maps. The plugin loads some files from their CDN to build the map and display it on your page. You won’t need to have a amcharts account for the maps to work. More information about their amcharts Privacy Policy.
When you first install the plugin, you can choose to opt-in to share non-sensitive data with Freemius, a framework we use to collect data about your WordPress installation that will help us improve the plugin. This is optional and the plugin will still work if you don’t opt-in. It will not collect any data from your visitors.

FAQ

Do I need an amcharts account or license for the plugin to work?

No, you won’t need any license or specific account. The plugin will work out of the box.

Do I need a Google Maps API Key for the plugin to work?

No, you won’t need one. The plugin will not use the Google Maps API. However you can add a Google Maps API Key in the settings of the plugin to enable geocoding when adding markers and therefore get the latitude and longitude directly in the plugin’s administration.

Where can I get coordinates for a marker?

You can get the latitude and longitude needed to a add a marker to a map using sites like GetLatLong or LatLong.net or any other similar website. Optionally, you can add a Google Maps API Key in the settings page of the plugin and this will enable you to get the coordinates directly in the map administration panel, when adding a maker. In this case, Google’s geocoding service is only used in the administration to get the coordinates, it won’t be used when the map displays in your pages.

Poor Google Sheets integration

I was excited to be able to not only create a heat map of our state, but to integrate the data from our Google Sheet spreadsheet. This has not been easy and is still not working. Customer service is slow to respond and not super helpful in the process. Even online videos I have watched have not helped with the Sheets integration.

This plugin has a lot of great features. For our U.S. projects it’s nice to have counties included as well as states. Support was very responsive and helpful!

Lot’s of settings and maps but performance is a no go

I really enjoyed the plugin in terms of number of settings and customizations. My biggest complaint is really the performance, especially on mobile. it is extremely clunky to use, zoom in / out, select countries etc. I decided that I can’t bring this poor experience to my customers. I raised this before with the developer but no change has been made in years.

This plugin does everything it should BUT the Heavily impacts the site performance with bloated JS and DOM elements. This is a known issue for over 3 years.After enabling Lazy and Async loading too it doesn’t solve the issue. It’s not dev’s fault but the resources used in it.Wish there was a version to static / export without unnecessary bloat.

Super easy to set up with a lots of features crammed into a basic, yet clean interface. Customization was fun and the documentation was helpful. For trickier filtering, the support was fast and pointed me in the right direction. The Pro version is a good price for the extra features that my client, a non-profit, wanted.
