the plugin is discontinued an yet totally un-intuitive. There is no option to choose the source post types (no custom-post-type support) and the shortcode generator only appears in the visual editor, not the html editor. Too bad.

I have used this plugin for some time and did a lot of testing. Works great if you want to display your posts (or events, etc) in a grid. Quite a few settings to personalize the grid. It comes with an online manual, so you should take a few minutes for that. And premium (but free) support from developer!
I was looking for this kind of plugin for the last two years at least!
