I realize this plugin is useless right now, since Gutenberg is still a plugin. But is valuable in taking a stand against an imposition that seems unfair, a project that started badly and that stubbornly fails to realize that WordPress is not just a tool for creating content. There are a lot of uses underestimated by the way Gutenberg is being pushed. Not everyone has a blog or a magazine site or a site hosting service company, that benefit from page building blocks. A lot of us have sites that only need a box to enter raw text. Boxes, actually.
Thank you for taking a stand.

Right now this plugin is totally without a need – Gutenberg is only available as a plugin and that can be simply removed if you don’t like it.
Once Gutenberg is standard within Core, the likelihood is that switching back to the old editor will require a different solution – from what I can tell this plugin simply uses older code for post editing (which isn’t going to be an ideal solution with regard to security updates, etc). Matt Mullenweg has already stated that a plugin to switch off Gutenberg will be made available in due course and I would recommend anyone to use that instead. But, right now, like a pencil with no lead, this plugin is pointless.
Thanks for releasing this plugin.
Hopefully after the monstrosity is added to Core, it remains possible to remove it and/or get the old editor back with Glutenberg Free!

This plugin can be invaluable if they mess things up and do not implement Gutenberg correctly. The official reply I got from the developers is that they “MIGHT” add the feature to have the custom MCE buttons in Gutenberg. If they don’t, and they probably won’t knowing them…, thousands of themes and thousands of plugins that depend on these custom buttons will become almost useless.
So thank you for this!!!
