Description

This plugin provides a super fast APCu object-cache and the only APCu based page-cache plugin available.
Using an object-cache will speed up your site?–?APCu is the fastest cache, compared against the two other memory-based cache options Redis and Memcached.

– Object caching involves storing variables and database queries thereby speeding up PHP execution times. This reduces the load on your server, and delivers content to your visitors faster.
– Page caching refers to caching the content of a whole page on the server-side. Later when the same page is requested again, its content will be served from the cache instead of regenerating it from scratch.

Requires PHP APCu extension.
Lightweight (70KB) and resource-efficient.
Backend CPU footprint: 6 ms.
Frontend CPU footprint: <1 ms.

Installation

1. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory or through the Plugins menu.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
3. Click “atec Cache APCu” link in admin menu bar.
4. Enable Page-Cache in the Settings tab.

FAQ

• Use WP-CLI
  If you use WP-CLI to run .php scripts, please set “apc.enable_cli=1” in your php.ini – otherwise object-cache will not work.

Problem for memory setting

HelloEven though I changed the memory consumption settings via PHP, there is no change on the plugin in the Admin panel. Is there a reason for this or am I doing it wrong? Thanks

The developer offered fast support for a setup issue I was having. After trying multiple object cache services for more than a website, I can say the improvement this one brings in page speed is far greater than everything else. I recommend also checking his other plugins, I will consider using some of them too in the future.

This plugin is one of the few that can work correctly on one server with multiple WordPress installations. The plugin implements both an object cache and a page cache, as well as flexible and intuitive management and monitoring. Some metrics and statistics reflect information for the entire server (the cache is technically common to all services) and at the same time, the “Page cache” provides information for the pages of a specific blog. It is very comfortable.Developers quickly respond to user requests – answer questions, help resolve problems, correct bugs and implement new functionality.In my opinion, this is important – when you delete a plugin, all tables, files, inclusions, etc. are deleted. This once again emphasizes the serious attitude of the developers to their product and respect for users. I have tried many similar plugins and I want to say that correct removal is not a common practice. But once you install the plugin and understand its functions, you won’t want to remove it.
