    Hi,
I just upgraded the plugin and get this warning and fatal error:

Warning: require_once(/inc/dashboard.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 325

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/inc/dashboard.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/mysite/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 325

any ideas on this? I fresh intalled the plugin on a local test server and all worked well.

    thanks

Hmm.. i spent the last few days trying to work out the kinks in moving to the new version. I upgraded on local host with data many times to make sure it was working right so im not sure why it threw that error..

That error wasn’t generated on update was it? that is only called when you load the soon to come dashboard or Easy Modal on the menu. but also that file should most definately exist.

Only thing i can think of is maybe a pathing issue.. Can you by chance tell me weather you have WP installed in a subdirectory or the root?

    Hi,

The error was thrown on update at the top of the page.

WordPress is installed in a subdirectory i.e. :
    `/home/mysite/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 325′

    Root is /public_html/ subdirectory /wp/

the file dashboard.php does exist but it is totally empty?

I just tried clicking on all links for Easy Modal and here are the results:

Clicking on “Settings” gives this error:

Clicking on “Easy Modal” gives this error:

Warning: require_once(/inc/dashboard.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 325

Clicking on “Modals” gives this error:

clicking on “Theme” gives this error:

Warning: require_once(/inc/themes.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 551

Maybe it has something to do with wordpress being in a subdirectory? The previous version worked perfectly for me

Ok nvm.. Thank you for the report. It was indeed a path issue. I have patched it and you should see an update shortly.

I just realized i didnt test from a root directory.

sorry yes it is.. I am adding some content and new features very shortly. My main focus with this update was to merge the old versions data into the new format so that you could use the visual editor.

Did it migrate your modals properly? also you can remove the extra eModal class now. Just need the 1 class “eModal-1”.

Would love any feedback or for you to write a review. Let me know what you think of the update and the theme editor.

    Not a problem..

I am getting this when I try to open my website – Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/whynotbeprepared/whynotbeprepared.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 52 – it will not let me log in to wordpress either. I just downloaded this plugin today.

This usually means you entered a license code but has been patched in v1.2. If you want to email me at danieliser @ wizardinternetsolutions.com i will get you an advance copy of the newest version. Upload it and you should be good to go.

I would delete whatever you put into the license key box.

Hi – I installed Easy Modal and not I am not able to log into WordPress and this is what I get when trying to open our website address: https://www.whynotbeprepared. Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /home/whynotbeprepared/whynotbeprepared.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-modal/easy-modal.php on line 52. I did disable a cache plugin too. Not sure which one is why i am getting this fatal error. Thanks for your help in advance.

Did you receive my emails about you needing ftp or control panel file manager access to delete the plugins to get it back up and running. As i said before this code has already been patched and i am available to help via email.

I do have ftp access – but I do not seem to be able to delete the easy modal folder

I did also respond via email but no response from you. here is what i posted-
    Here is my ftp address;
    [Redacted]

I see the folder that states easy-modal but i do not seem to be able to delete it.

[No bumping. If it’s that urgent, consider hiring someone.]

Sorry for the delay. I just checked my email again and do not see any messages since the last when you told me you didn’t have FTP. Even checked junkmail.

If you are unable to delete the folder can you delete the files themselves?

As I said in my emails with you I more than willing to get this fixed for you ASAP but it will require FTP access with enough permissions to be able to delete or upload the updated version.

I do apologize for the issues this may have caused and have and will be available to help fix it.

Danieliser I can not upgrade the plugin to the pro version, I have tried to contact you many times and I have got no response.
