Go to the List of Blocks<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Use the Archives <\/em>block to display a date archive of your posts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To add the Archives <\/em>block to a page, click the block inserter<\/strong> (+) icon to open the block inserter pop-up window and choose the Archives<\/em> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also use the keyboard shortcut \/archives<\/kbd> to quickly insert an Archives<\/em> block. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Detailed instructions on adding blocks<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n To view the block toolbar, click on the block, and the toolbar will be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every block comes with unique toolbar icons and blocks specific user controls that allow you to manipulate the block right in the editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Archives<\/em> block shows five buttons in the block toolbar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Transform to<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Click on the Transform<\/strong> button to convert the Archives<\/em> block into a Group<\/em>, Columns<\/em> or Calendar<\/em> block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Drag icon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To drag and drop the block to a new location on the page template, click and hold the rectangle of dots, then drag it to the new location. The blue separator line indicates where the block will be placed. Release the left mouse button when you find the new location to place the block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Move arrows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The up and down arrow icons can be used to move the block up and down on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Get more information about moving a block within the editor.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Change block alignment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Use the change alignment tool to align the Archive <\/em>block. Choose one of the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u201cWide width\u201d and \u201cFull width\u201d alignment settings must be enabled by your WordPress theme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Options button on a block toolbar gives you more features to customize the block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Read about these and other settings.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The block settings panel contains customization options specific to the block. To open it, select the block and click the Settings<\/strong> icon next to the Publish <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The settings section provides four possible options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Display as dropdown<\/strong> \u2013 display the archives as a dropdown, rather than the default bulleted list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Show label<\/strong> \u2013 displays the archives label on top of the dropdown list. It can only be enabled together with the Display as dropdown <\/em>option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Show post count<\/strong> \u2013 shows posts count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Group by<\/strong> \u2013 sets and groups the posts by year, month, week, and day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Typography<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Archives<\/em> block <\/em>provides typography settings to change the font family, size, appearance, line height, letter case, letter spacing, and decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For details refer to this support article: Typography settings overview<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
